Also includes some materials from his years as a doctoral student at UC Berkeley, and his work as an Episcopal minister.

Earl Wendel Count (born Oct. 22, 1899, Irvington, NY; died Nov. 22, 1996, Walnut Creek, CA) earned a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley in 1935 under Alfred Kroeber. He was an ordained Episcopalian minister and held various teaching posts at San Jose State College, New York Medical College, and Hamilton College.
